All of the system elements are fastened on an aluminum base that has juts opposite hot components such as the voltage regulator MOSFETs and memory chips. Here, dark gray elastic pads are used as a thermal interface instead of traditional fiber pads soaked in thermal grease. This solution must be cheaper and easier to implement.
